Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Messoka platform, including the mobile application, website, APIs, and related services.
By accessing or using Messoka, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms.
2. Nature of Platform
Messoka is a technology intermediary that connects Users with independent Mess Owners offering meal and subscription services.
Messoka does not prepare, cook, store, inspect, or deliver food.
Any agreement for food services exists solely between the User and the respective Mess Owner.
3. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must provide accurate information.
- You are responsible for your account credentials.
4. Orders & Subscriptions
By placing an order or purchasing a subscription, you enter into a direct contract with the selected Mess Owner.
Subscription details including:
- Meal count
- Plan validity
- Menu rotation
- Delivery schedule
are determined solely by the Mess Owner.
5. Subscription Validity & Expiry
- All meals must be consumed within the validity period.
- Unused meals automatically lapse after expiry.
- No carry-forward is allowed.
No refund or compensation shall be provided for expired or unused meals.
6. Payments
- Payments are processed via authorized gateways.
- Prices are set by Mess Owners.
- Applicable taxes may apply.
Payment disputes must be raised with the Mess Owner.
7. Cancellations & Refunds
Refund eligibility depends on:
- Mess Owner policies
- Subscription terms
- Platform rules
Messoka does not guarantee refunds.
8. Food Safety & Allergies
Users are responsible for reviewing ingredients and dietary labels.
Messoka does not guarantee allergen-free food.
9. Disputes
All disputes including food quality, delivery delays, or service complaints must be resolved directly between the User and the Mess Owner.
Messoka shall not mediate or compensate.
10. Prohibited Use
- Misuse of platform
- Posting false reviews
- Harassment
- Circumventing payment systems
- Illegal activities
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under Indian law, Messoka disclaims liability for:
- Food quality issues
- Health reactions
- Delivery failures
- Disputes with Mess Owners
12. Data Protection
Data is processed in accordance with:
- IT Act, 2000
- DPDP Act, 2023
13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
Courts in Ranchi, Jharkhand shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
Arbitration, if required, shall be conducted under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, with seat and venue in Ranchi.
14. Changes to Terms
Messoka may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
15. Acceptance
By clicking “I Agree” or using the platform, you confirm that:
- You have read and understood these Terms.
- You agree to the Privacy Policy.
- You understand Messoka is only a technology platform.
