Refund Policy

Effective Date: 16th January 2026

1. Platform Role

Messoka acts solely as a technology intermediary connecting Users and independent Mess Owners. Messoka does not prepare, cook, store, or deliver food.

All meal services and subscriptions are provided directly by the respective Mess Owner.

2. General Refund Principle

Refund eligibility depends on:

  • Mess Owner’s cancellation policy
  • Type of subscription plan
  • Validity period terms
  • Platform-level rules (if applicable)

Messoka does not guarantee refunds.

3. Subscription Validity & Expiry

Certain subscription plans include a fixed validity period.

  • All meals must be consumed within the validity period.
  • Unused meals automatically lapse after expiry.
  • No carry-forward is permitted.

No refund, credit, or compensation shall be provided for unused or expired meals.

4. Eligible Refund Situations

Refunds may be processed only in the following limited cases:

  • Duplicate payment
  • Technical payment failure but amount deducted
  • Service not provided due to verified Mess Owner fault
  • Order cancelled within allowed time window

5. Non-Refundable Situations

  • Change of mind
  • Personal travel or relocation
  • Illness after subscription purchase
  • Failure to consume meals within validity
  • Dissatisfaction with taste (subjective preference)

6. Refund Processing Timeline

Approved refunds will be processed within:

  • 5–7 business days for UPI / Wallet
  • 7–10 business days for Card / Net Banking

Refund timelines may vary depending on banking institutions.

7. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

If a user initiates a chargeback through their bank:

  • Access to the platform may be temporarily restricted.
  • Messoka may provide transaction records to payment gateways.
  • Fraudulent chargebacks may result in permanent suspension.

8. Dispute Responsibility

Disputes related to food quality, hygiene, delivery delays, or dietary issues must be resolved directly between the User and the Mess Owner.

Messoka does not mediate or guarantee settlement outcomes.

9. Policy Updates

Messoka reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
